About

Not Guilty Ink is a business set up to give exposure to the many talented artist’s incarcerated within the prison system. I came up with the Not Guilty Ink idea to make quality clothing using the artwork of prisoner’s while I myself was locked up in one of Oregon’s maximum security units. I was just tired of seeing lame and generic graphics being used and pawned off to the public as quality art while I was living next to guy’s who blew the doors off that mainstream garbage. So, upon release I connected with a friend who has his own screen printing shop (KW Screen Printing in Portland, Oregon) and began learning the process so that eventually I could reach the point I am now at which is obtaining art from the inside and printing it onto shirts myself . I hope to be able to bring exposure to these artists who may otherwise go unnoticed and be an outlet for them to connect with other companies searching for unique artistic talent. The so called correctional institutions and justice system do little if anything to help men and women once they are released back into society and that is why recidivism is so high. I purchase the artwork I use outright just as any large corporation would but once the piece of art begins to turn a profit I kick a percentage back to the artist so they really benefit from their work and have the chance to save for their release back into society. Not Guilty Ink also lets people on the inside know that they can really do something with their talent out here and that nothing is impossible. I did 12 years inside and when I got out it wasn’t easy but I just stuck with it and now I am trying to pull this together with a shoe string and I hope you like what I have to offer you. Feel free to message me and give me your thoughts.
